Page layout for record Types

Question

I've 3 record types for a custom object and 2 are assigned to same page layout (default page layout) and 1 to different.  I have added few custom fileds to the second page layout . When I click edit button, these custom fields are not displaying. How I can display the custom fields to my second Record type for edit page also. Appreciate your help. Thank you.

The issue is resolved. The record which I was checking was created earlier, before creating record types.   Thank you so much.

Hello Ancy,   Are those "Formula fields" which you have added to the layout? Formula fields will not be visible on the edit page, they are locked from editing always. Values in those fields are calculated based on a formula.
