1. The Org my database is connected to recently created to Time data type fields. I created the same on my database and mapped them. However upon completing the mapping, any record with the time field completed was not commited to my database. Once these fields were unmapped records with these fields completed were commited to my database. Could you please confirm whether time fields are available for use with Salesforce to Salesforce Connections?
2, How do I stop validation rules from firing when a record is created or modified by the connection user?

you can deactivate the validation rules,
