Hello - I followed the release notes to Enable Name Suffixes for Person Names as follows:

https://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/spring15/release-notes/rn_general_middle_name_suffix_enable.htm

In Classic, the Suffix field is now displayed in the Contact record.

e.g. (Fr. John Smith S.J.)

However, in Lightning, the name field still does not display suffix in the contact record. Suffix does appear in Lightning under name for contact edit, just does not get displayed when viewing the contact.

e.g. (Fr. John Smith)

Is this a bug, or do I need to configure this further in Lightning. Thanks for the advice!

Hi there, give this a shot:

    1. Click the Gear Icon | Setup | User interface | User interface

    2. In the 'Name Settings' section, deselect Enable Middle Names for 'Person Names' and Enable Name Suffixes for 'Person Names.'

    3. Click Save
