I would like my reps to see the latest stage of the opportunity related to a contact.
The goal is to have it as a field on the contact search view.
I know its tricky because we have multiple opp for one account

Hi Amin,
There are several challenges with what you're proposing:
1. A contact can be related to many opportunities. I'm assuming you want the most recent one? Maybe you want the most recent opportunity that changed?
2. Contacts are related to opportunities via the Opportunity Contact Role junction object, on which you can't use automation. You also won't be able to use formulas.
If you wanted to build functionality like this, you will most likely have to resort to an auto-launch flow or an Apex trigger. Whichever mechanism you choose will be triggered by the opportunity stage changing, and will find all relevant contacts related to the opportunity by querying the opportunity contact role object. Once found, they will have to update the contact field with the new opportunity stage.
