Live Agent chat customization.

Question

Hi I want to customize live agent chat window with visual force page. i need to display time stamp next to user name and the text should be displayed below the user name as shown below. how can i implement that? Can we implement that using live agent rest api?Can someone help me. If yes please share me sample code.

Sample Chat---

Agent: 01/08/2014 01:01:00

Hi

Customer: 01/08/2014 01:02:00

This is customer XXX

Agent: 01/08/2014 01:04:00
