Do you have any sort of third party tool or API connector for syncing emails from salesforce to somewhere else, and does that tool run under your name for permission? For example, Pardot requires a salesforce user account to run. If Pardot updates a record, it shows an update from "Pardot Connector", a general Salesforce user account I created for this purpose. If you set your third party or API to run using your own account, it will look like the updates are from you.
If this is the case, you may want to re-evaluate any of these "connector" users and set them up as their own salesforce user account, instead of sharing yours. This does mean you gotta use up a precious salesforce license, though.
