As i checked i can share a report folder to the below roles, I cant see profile here. Can we share a folder to a profile ? Also, even if i gave access the folder access to a role, as editor. for him its showing as obsolete report while opening the report ( although he can view the report folder and report names in it), what can be the issue ? Thnx

You can't Share to a Profile, only the options in your screenshot:
User
Group
Role
Role and Subordinates
