Generally, Leads are individuals than companies.
Having said that you can have the Company record as Lead, you need to think about things like when you identify the person that you need to work with (would be modifying the existing lead changing first and last names) or would you be creating a new lead. Do you need to track any metrics like, how long does it take to identify the individual in a company?
