Edit from Custom Object List View

I have a list view of Custom Object records- How do I edit fields from this List view?

    Couple of things to keep in mind - 

    1. Enabling Enhanced List View. Make sure that this is selected from the User Interface page - Couple of things to keep in mind - Enabling Enhanced List View. Make sure that this is selected from the User Interface page - Record Types.
    2. Record Types. If you have Record Types enabled on the object then make sure that you have the List filtered on a specific one.
