Custom Field not on report list

I have a custom field on a custom object that's a text field (50 characters) that I need on a report, but it's not displaying on the report with the other fields on that object.

I've already checked the field-level security & the view field accessibility, but still no luck. I can't see this field on the report field list to pull in. What else should I check?
