How to report on events that are transferred from outlook

I am currently creating a component on my sales team's dashboard to report on events. They would like to be able to see all of their events (meetings) within the next 30 days. Currently, we are able to only report on events that are manually inputted into Salesforce, but not events that are synced from outlook. When we go to the specific contact record in salesforce the event shows up, but you cannot report on them yet. Does anyone have a solution to this? Do I need to look at wave analytics?

    Salesforce needs to address the difficulty of reports using Accounts and Events, or even activities in general. Events being a standard object in Salesforce, you cannot create a custom report of Accounts with Events. The inability and difficulty in creating reports without resorting to formula is a problem.
