Hi, I am drawning a blank, i created the below on my browser window, can anyone tell me what they are called please

If they're in a bar at the bottom of your lightning screen, I think they are found in the App Manager & are Utility Items:

That appears to be the  Utility Bar  for a console App where the  Utility Items are displayed. You can add/remove/adjust  Utility Items  shown on the  Utility Bar  by going to Setup > App Manager > Edit (on the specific app you'd like to modify) > Utility Items.   https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=dev_apps_lightning_utilities.htm&type=5
