In our business, we sell to resellers.  Specifically for this question, it's for exporters, but this also applies to General Contractors quoting local construction jobs that go out for bid.  Exporters are resellers who buy from us, then resell to an end user overseas. 

 

Something that often happens is that an end user overseas will make the same inquiry to up to 20 exporters.  These exporters will then ask me to quote them.  So I will quote anywhere between five and twenty different business (none of them related to each other) the exact same thing.  Only one of them will win the job.

 

It doesn't make any sense to make twenty different opportunities, when in reality, it's just one opportunity with a bunch of different accounts vying to win it.  It messes up our numbers and projections, plus it's a ton of extra busy work. 

 

Is there a solution for this?  Thank you.

    Thank you.  I sent that information to our Salesforce administrator.  I will report back the results if/when he tries that.
