Due to a known bug (https://success.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p300000008ZCsAAM) new custom objects and tabs seem to be invisible. I tried to make them visible by creating a permission set. However, I cannot change the visibility option (pic1), since I get an error message (pic2).
Help would be much appreciated. I have been trying to solve this for hours and hours, since I cannot continue to customize SF withought any object creation.

This has been confirmed as a technical problem from SF and has been solved by support
