We need to keep the fields on the page layout in order to integrate with external platform.
Any ideas?

Hi David,
You are contradicting yourself here based on what you are saying. You want to hide the fields from the opportunity page, but you need to leave them on the page for the API.
You shouldn't need to keep it on the page layout in order for the API to work. The field needs to still exist, and be editable, but it doesn't need to be on the layout.
