Setting multiple attributes in a page with selecting value on look up.

Hi, I'm thinking of salesforce page (esp. case with asset or with custom object) that have look up field that can change multitple attributes in one page. But I found that one look up attribute can affect only dedicated attribute. (Is this right? I'm not sure of this, too.)

 

I've researched using trigger for this kind of multiple attributes change with choosing one data but user can not see the changed values when he selects data to change on look up page.

 

Is there any other way to make this kind of fuction or process in salesfore only with configuration?

 

Any idea or experiences would be appreciated.
