DocuSign envelope templates is one way to differentiate standardized documents that originate from our organization. But, because I/O's originate with our partners, envelope templates are not applicable.
There is a function named Custon Envelope Fields that seem to be perfect, but these fields cannot be made available in DocuSign for Salesforce. Instead, the only way to use custom envelope fields is to " create envelopes within the DocuSign Console and relate back to a SalesForce object." I.e. we cannot use custom fields (such as a picklist document type) with DocuSign for Salesforce.
Our entire organization is trained on sending documents for signature from Salesforce. I do not want to ask our sales reps to leave salesforce for the DocuSign Console.
Does anybody have experience with Docusign for Salesforce? Any experience in differentiating documents through Docusign for Salesforce?
Is there a way that I can force a custom field onto a page layout for managed packages?
