Process Builder - Create a trigger to send an email alert based on Expiration Date

So I'm using the Process Builder to send an Email Alert.  It is based on when todays date meets the "Expiration Date", an email will be sent.  I built the formula, but says is does not Boolean code.  The forumla I'm trying to use and does not work is as follows:  TODAY() = [Price_Exception__c].Expiration_Date__c

 

So what am I missing?

    Is Expiration_Date__c a date time value by chance?

     

    I just tried something similar in my instance with teh Case object with this formula and it worked OK.

     

    TODAY() = DATEVALUE([Case].CreatedDate)
