Do we have a option in dashboard only to add the report count and not the data

I have a requirement ,where few reports have the dashboard created. Now we would like to have the count of the report data not the records to be showed in dashboard.

How can i remove the concerned dashboard from the report or vice versa.

Any help very much appreciated.

You can do this with Metric components which only report at the Grand Total level

If you put two metrics one right under the other in a dashboard it will look like one report when you run it. I covered off how in a post from a few days ago:
