You can do this by using the data loader tool - all you need is the Client ID and the UDF field in a csv file. Alternatively if you build a List View and base it on a record type (if you use record types for clients), include the UDF in the list view, then you can tick all the boxes down the left hand side, double click into the UDF for one of the clients, and opt to save it for all 156 records.
