can i attach emails to tasks that i create?

I can attached emails to opportunities that I have created but I can not attached emails to tasks that I create.  Is there a setting that I need to change? 

 

Also, when attaching emails that have documents included, the only file type that will save are PDF.  Can we attach emails that have word or excel documents attached to them?

    Hey Tyler,

     

    If you go into the task that you've created, you can scroll down to the bottom of the task and access the attachments related list.

     

    If its not there, its probably because you dont have it on your page layout. To get it on the layout do the following

     

    Setup > Customize > Activities > Task Page Layout > Edit

     

    Hey Tyler, If you go into the task that you've created, you can scroll down to the bottom of the task and access the attachments related list.

     

    Then you will see a button for related lists, find the attachments section and add it to the page layout!

     

    This should do it for you!
