
We are having a hard time solving what could be a relatively easy problem! Our team has a number of lead to sales processes involving our business development team. What we are trying to accomplish is to enable our bizdev manager Daniel to easily view the correct page layout and associated picklists for any particular lead opened.
In example, Daniel should be able to view the correct lead process picklist for Lead-X which arrives from our Marketo campaign. The associated statuses available for Lead-X's picklist are Day1 Call, Day5 Call, Day7.. etc.
Compare this to if Daniel opens another lead, Lead-Y, coming from an imported list from a tradeshow. In Lead-Y's, lead view, we should see a different lead status picklist available - Emailed Contact, Called Contact, Face to face meeting.. etc.
I tried playing around with record types and campaign members but could not get any progress. Any ideas?
You would be using record types and dependant fields would be my best guess. Here is a link to some basic dependant field setup:
