view mp4 file on ipad

I've loaded Snaggit video files in Content in our Library, they're stored as mp4 format. They're short and load in seconds and launch fine from my Windows desktop but they do not view when in Safari or Chrome on my iPad.

This is pretty important as most of our sales team now carry iPads. Any idea of what might be happening?
