Add Client Account Owner to Email Alert

I would like to send out an email alert to the Project Owner (listed under Opportunities) and the Account Owner (Listed under Accounts) when the project is not started and overdue.  I don't need help with the workflow, but I am unable to add the Client Account Owner to the Email Recipient List.  The Project Owner appears and the email is successfully sent to the Project Owner, but no option appears for the Client Account Owner.  Any ideas for how to address this?

    If I am seeing your screen shot correctly the Account owner is listed as the "IP Relationship Manager" and is available to add to the notification:

    If not try change the drop down for Recipiant Type to search by Account owner.
