Salesforce CPQ Performance Consideration and Best Practices

Salesforce CPQ seems to be really slow and it takes a while to load specially if we have a Product that is very complex with bundles and selection product rules. Is there any documentation or literature for best practices and/or performance with Salesforce CPQ?

    Hi Joseph,

     

    There's no official documentation regarding this as far as I know, since it relies on a combination of many factors such as:

     

    * Number of product option in a bundle.

     

    * Nested bundles complexity (therefore implies much more options).

     

    * Applicable option constraints.

     

    * Applicable and total number of product rules.

     

    And also all the pricing that could rely on this such as

     

    ​​​* Price rules

     

    * Summary variables

     

    * Lookup Queries

     

    * Discount schdedules

     

    * Contracted prices

     

    Also if you're using a Quote Calculator Plugin (QCP) that could also be generating additional overhead on the processing time depending on the logic.

     

    I agree that it would be really useful to have a feature in the package that could easily run a sanity check on the products and rules from the org, unfortunately is not something that is currently available.
