We are a small company with limited resources and though we've used Salesforce a long time, we've hardly used many of the standard features.

We have a number of accounts that fit into a Parent - Child relationship. A customer with multiple sites, locations, subsidiaries, etc that have unique contacts, opportunities, etc at each site.

We've just started to use account hierarchy by setting up Parent - Child relationships. We've not really seeing much in terms of functionality associated with doing this in Salesforce though. Meaning, at the child account level - yes, we see there is a parent linked and at the parent level, we can view hierarchy and/or add the Salesforce Labs plugin to view hierarchy in line.

Is that all we should expect to happen? What we were hoping for functionally was that by assiging parent-child relationships that we'd be able to look at the parent account or have a master parent account that would show us all the contacts, opportunities, etc from the child accounts in one view (so we don't have to click through all the children). I see a number of Idea requests and requests around rollups, but even before we reach that, we're looking for a consolidated view of a parent with all its child recodsr

Any tips, advice, or are we missing something?
