Hello !  My company provides B2B services.  We spend a lot of time and money refining our contact details so as to send very few mails, to the right people. On high season we can be sending, through different sales people, up to 2000 e-mails per month. We cannot solve something that at first sounds very logic (to us anyways).

I need to send e-mails from custom company templates, and I need those mails not to go to the Junk Box or Spam, when the recipient's mail server sees Salesforce domain instead of my company's.

Since I can't, or probably don't know how to, do this from Salesforce, I have to do it either by performing the merge on SF and then copy/paste on MS Outlook, one by one, and then syncing to SF.

Or, I can perform a merge from contacts on an MS Excel spreadsheet and a MS Word master document, send those e-mails mass scale (no more than 200 per campaign always) and then add the e-mails manually to SF.  I did this 303 times today, thus this mail !

None of these methods really make sense.  The problem I need to fix is that all e-mails from Salesforce to contacts are generated by SF and sent through my MS EXchange server so that the receiving servers (big corporations) don't send it to spam when it detects a SF domain.

Thanks, Max

    Hi Maximo,

There are really two separate issues here: sending the emails through your company's Exchange/domain and getting those emails logged in Salesforce.

If your requirement is to send the messages through your company's Exchange server so the recipient sees your company domain, I'd look at the Salesforce email relay/integration options available for your Salesforce release rather than manually copying the emails to Outlook. That allows Salesforce-generated emails to be routed through your organization's mail server.

For the logging side, if the emails are sent from Outlook, you'll need an Outlook/Salesforce integration or another synchronization process to associate the sent emails with the appropriate Contacts/records. That is preferable to manually importing hundreds of messages.

Given the 2012 timeframe of this question, the exact options depend heavily on your Salesforce edition and the Outlook/Exchange integration you're using.
