Hi everyone,

this is my first open question, so be kind :)

I am currently setting up my solutions with multilingual categories and so on, therefore we of course played a bit with the sample css to see how good we can fit the solutions into our own website. This works quite ok, but I have been asked from our designer if it is possible to have more influence on the solutions layout like the arrangement of the fields (like "search language" etc.). Solutions Page Layout seems to be used only within Salesforce of course (like the cases or leads), HTML solutions only influences the solutions texts.

Is there a way to change the style of the solutions page or is that fixed?

Cheers, Benjamin

Ah, from your website, that's a very different story. In a nutshell, yes, exactly right! One of Visualforce's big benefits is that it allows you to mimic standard Salesforce styling very easily. Good info on Visualforce here:

    http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_Tutorial:_An_Introduction_to_Visualforce

    And the full Developer Documentation:

But, if you're going to be hosting content publicly, you should check out Salesforce Sites. It allows you to host Visualforce page on public websites, so your code can still interact with Salesforce natively.

Here's some good examples of public facing websites done with Sites as well:
