Can I expand Order Management to be used as Production Work Order?

Today we have Orders associated with specific sales that direct Production and Engineering to perform value added effort to our core products and ship the end item to the customer.

 

Can I modify the Order Management process and form to be used a a general Work Order? Internal request to modify Core Product and return that data to our database as an overall tool in database configuration management?

     It would very likely be possible, but your ideal solution is probably outside the scope of this forum. You may want to consider a local user group for some free advice -- check out usergroups.salesforce.com for more info. And/or a consult with a partner or two from the appexchange.
