Hi there,

In one of our orgs we have been using Content Packs for the past years to deliver targeted software products to our customers. Now Salesforce is retiring this feature in February and we are looking for an alternate solution. As per the knowledge article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000351309&language=en_US&mode=1&type=1), the recommended alternate solution is to use public links for folder sharing.

However our requirements include:

  • Sharing files with persons who are not users of our customer community
  • Having a password protected access
  • Having an expiration date on the access
  • Having the ability to update specific files in existing packs (for example if a document is updated, all content packs automatically point to the new version.

Public link sharing does not meet the last 3 requirements.

Does Salesforce have any other alternate solution or feature that could allow us to achieve such deliveries after Content Packs are retired? Or is this functionality just disappearing? Any other recommendations (such as 3rd party)?

Thank you!
