I'm finishing the setup to roll out a first pilot. I'd like to assigned the Sales Console app as default for first login. So I followed these steps:
1. From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then select Profiles.
2. Select a profile and click Assigned App
3. Click Edit
4. Select Default next to the Lightning app.
5. Click Save
Now I've created a sandbox and the setup above didn't work as I expected i.e. my user isn't landing in Sales Console app in the first access. Could you please show me what I did wrong? Thank you so much in advance!
I don't know the details of that offhand, but another approach might be to take advantage of the new "deeplink to an app" feature released in Winter '20. Then publish that link wherever a user might find it. The user can just click it to land in the Sales Console app.
Instructions:
1. Open app launcher
2. Right-click on the app you'd like to deeplink to and copy the URL to your clipboard.
Something like this:
