Hello. I am super new to Salesforce and just wondering if Lightning will be mandatory on Oct. 11??

@Clay Greenwood, you remain in Salesforce Classic after you turn on Lightning Experience. But you should now see the Switcher (a link called Switch to Lightning Experience) in the header. You can use that link to change to the new interface. And from Lightning Experience, you can just as easily switch back to Salesforce Classic.
