I'm working with Cases in Lightning and am really confused by Parent/Child cases vs Case Hierarchy vs Related Cases. Nothing I've found in my searches has helped me figure this out. Do they all work together? Or do different ones have different purposes? I'm specifically interested in what populates the Related Cases list.

@Xenia Chilkowich , the Related Cases related list displays all of the cases directly below the case you're on. The Parent Case field on that case will show you the parent directly above the case you're on.
The hierarchy would should all cases related whether those are a parent/grandparent(s) or children/grandchildren.
