Hi Everyone,

I'm newer to Pardot, and am trying to build out a pretty specific engagement flow, and have some questions!

- If I have 6 emails in the flow, do I need to set triggers (when someone clicks a link) and notify our sales representatives for all 6 emails? I started doing this, and the engagement flow becomes extremely large! Is there a way I can set this rule for the entire flow, and not have to duplicate for each email that goes out?

- is it possible to have someone removed from the engagement flow, due to their opportunity status changing, example going from a long-term opportunity, back to a normal opportunity? If so, how do I achieve this?

If anyone has any recommendations, I would really appreciate them :)

You can also set up a Dynamic List with rules outlining who should be on the program.

How you use that dynamic list is up to you - you can put it as a recipient list, or you could set it as a suppression list.

If you have a dynamic list, then the people will be added/subtracted from the list as they meet the criteria or not. If it's used as the recipient list, it means that people can fall out in the middle. If they join the list again they'll start the program again, right were they left off.

If you have a static list as your recipient list, and then use a dynamic list as your suppression list, then they're permanently on the program (unless you take them off the static list yourself, or with an automation rule or something). but if they suddenly meet the dynamic suppression list they'll stop in their tracks. If they fall off the suppression list, they'll pick back up where they left off.

I usually end up doing a static recipient list - usually I want people to continue the program once they un-match the suppression list.

But you could also decide to have a static recipient list, and then have them removed from the static list (maybe by nodes in the program, or by rules checking for something, and sending them to a path that ends).

No real right or wrong. (And sometimes too many choices!)
