I’ve completed the main Trailhead modules for the Salesforce Platform App Builder (AP-201), but honestly, the exam still feels much harder than expected. I understand the features, objects, flows, and security concepts individually, yet when I look at practice questions, the scenarios feel confusing and tricky. It seems like the exam is less about knowing what a feature does and more about choosing the best possible solution in a given situation.

I feel especially stuck on automation questions, like deciding between Flow, Process Builder, or older tools, and understanding what Salesforce really wants in exam scenarios. I’ve also tried a few resources like Pass4Future AP-201 Sample Questions, which helped me realize how different real exam-style questions are from Trailhead challenges. For those who have passed AP-201 exam, what made the biggest difference for you? Was it more hands-on practice, or a mindset shift?

Great question! The exam tests choosing the best solution, so practice scenario-based questions and review every explanation. I work with QA4Exam

Hello,

Anyone know how we can install the newer Main Checkout Flow? We implemented the B2B Legacy Checkout flow a couple of years ago.

  1. SF Ben - Choose a Checkout Flow/Experience
    1. Main Checkout - This flow is now one of two of the recommended approaches (along with “Re-entrant Checkout”). It has an updated structure and doesn’t utilize the cart session structure anymore.
  2. Salesforce Guide - B2B Checkout FlowsHow to install the

Thanks in advance!

Main Checkout is not a separate package. It is included with Salesforce Commerce, and a store that already uses the B2B Legacy Checkout flow does not get that flow replaced in place. 1. In the Commerce app, open the store and go to Settings, then Checkout. 2. Clone the Salesforce checkout template for Main Checkout, or create a new flow from that template. Main Checkout does not use the old cart-session structure, so the legacy flow cannot be converted into it. 3. Activate the cloned flow and select it as this store's checkout flow. 4. Rebuild any custom steps from the legacy flow on the new one. Those steps do not carry over. If Main Checkout is not in the template list, reply with the Commerce release on the org. Older releases only expose the legacy checkout template.

I have created multiple promotions and I want to show all the promotion on the cart page so that user can choose coupon and apply on their cart accordingly

The standard B2B LWR cart does not list every coupon. It has a coupon code field where the shopper types a code. Automatic promotions, the ones that do not need a code, show on the cart as applied adjustments when the cart qualifies. Coupon promotions apply only after the shopper enters the code. There is no standard component that prints all coupon codes on the cart. Codes are also limited by the promotion's buyer group or segment, so a list of every coupon in the org would include codes that shopper cannot use. To show a chosen set of codes, add a custom LWR component on the cart page and display only the coupons that promotion is meant to offer that buyer. Keep the standard coupon field so they can still type a code.

Hello, is there a possibility to export .csv of product recommendations that were displayed to a specific customer?

I was searching for information and I see there's exports available of orders, products, etc, but not einstein related content.

Thanks,

There is no standard CSV export of the product recommendations shown to one shopper. The order, product, and similar exports are catalog and transaction files. They do not include Einstein recommendation content. Einstein recommendation reporting for a Salesforce Commerce store is aggregated performance in the Einstein area of the store. It is not a customer-level file of what was displayed. Storefront activity tracking records shopper events such as product views and purchases so Einstein can build recommendations. That activity is not a log of the recommendation slots rendered for a specific customer, and it is not available as a native CSV of those recommendations. To keep the products recommended to a specific buyer, you would need to capture that response in the storefront yourself.

When account is switched from profile menu of b2b site using switch account menu item, it's redirecting to home page and gets logged out instead of logging to switched account selected. Is there any permission or configuration missed?

Switch Account keeps the shopper logged in only when the account they select is a buyer account they are allowed to use in this store. If that check fails, the LWR store drops the buyer context, sends them to the home page, and they appear as a guest. 1. On the contact, confirm a delegated account or other buyer relationship exists for the account they are switching to, and that account is enabled as a buyer. 2. That account must be in a buyer group entitled to this store. An account the user can see in CRM, but that is not a buyer for the store, will not hold the session. 3. In Experience Builder, the profile menu item must be the standard Switch Account action. A custom item that only links to Home does not set the effective account. 4. Confirm the buyer user has the store's buyer permission set, then retry the switch in a fresh session. If those are already in place and the shopper is still logged out, reply with whether the target account is a delegated account and whether it belongs to the store's buyer group.

*** Important Update: Associate a B2C Commerce instance to your Managed Runtime production environment(s) by Sep 29, 2026 ****** Important Update: Associate a B2C Commerce instance to your Managed Runtime production environment(s) by Sep 29, 2026 ***Salesforce is limiting how Managed Runtime (MRT) determines production enviSalesforce is limiting how Managed Runtime (MRT) determines production environments. Currently, you can set any environment to production, regardless of whether it’s connected to an instance. This creates a lot of traffic, which harms the accuracy of monitoring and incident response for everyone on the platform.

To reduce traffic and improve capabilities, Salesforce is limiting which environments can be flagged as production. Starting September 29, 2026, an environment can be flagged as production only if it’s associated with a Staging or Production B2C Commerce instance.

Log Center logs and Log Center metrics aren't affected by this change. Both stay independently configurable on any environment, regardless of instance tier.

To keep production monitoring and related features on these environments, associate each one with a Staging or Production B2C Commerce instance before September 29, 2026.

  1. Open Runtime Admin and go to the Environment Settings for the environments listed above.
  2. Associate the environment with a Staging or Production B2C Commerce instance.
  3. Confirm the production flag is still on after you save the association.
  4. Redeploy the current bundle in that environment. This ensures the change takes effect immediately rather than waiting for your next scheduled deployment.

If you don't associate an instance by the deadline, you will lose production monitoring. Your Log Center logs and Log Center metrics settings won't change.

Need help?

Contact Salesforce Customer Support if you have questions about which instance to associate.

anyone looking for a managed service offering for their B2B Commerce Cloud implementation?

We have a team with solid B2B Commerce Cloud development experience and are looking to expand into managed support services. We’d be interested in connecting with partners who have experience structuring and taking these kinds of offerings to market.

In the Winter 24 version, LWR experience for B2B commerce should now use Layout: Accordion instead of the Checkout component with Accordion layout setting.

So I replace it and add inside a "Checkout Section". Within that section, I've added a custom component and a "Action button". The component was working fine in the old Checkout component but in the new one, methods from CheckoutSavable Interface are not called.

Here is a sample of the js based on https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.b2b_b2c_comm_dev.meta/b2b_b2c_comm_dev/b2b_b2c_comm_checkout_sample_checkout_component.htm:

import { LightningElement, api } from "lwc";export default class Sample extends LightningElement {    _checkoutMode = 1;    @api    get checkoutMode() {        return this._checkoutMode;    }    set checkoutMode(value) {        console.log("Should be called when user navigate in and out of the section");        this._checkoutMode = value;    }    // Get trigger when user clicks on "Next" button on accordion layout    @api    reportValidity() {        console.log("Should be called when user click on the action button to proceed to the next section")        return true;    }    @api    checkoutSave() {        if (!this.reportValidity()) {            throw new Error("error");        }    }}

Maybe we now need to explicitly implement CheckoutSavable Interface but I'm not sure how and where is it located. I also noticed that if I switch the documentation to v59.0, the sample checkout component page doesn't exist anymore.

Anyone experience the same issue and have a fix?

Hi Alex, with the Winter ’24 LWR checkout changes, the custom component needs to be placed within the new Checkout Section and follow the interfaces supported by that checkout architecture.

The CheckoutSavable behavior isn't something you implement by importing an interface into the LWC. The checkout framework invokes the supported public methods on the component when it participates in the checkout flow.

I'd first verify that the component is using the current Commerce checkout component contract for the Winter ’24/LWR layout, because the older checkoutMode, reportValidity(), and checkoutSave() example may not apply to the new Accordion/Checkout Section architecture.

If you're already following the current documentation and those methods still aren't being invoked, could you share the component configuration in Experience Builder and the exact Commerce/LWR version? That would help determine whether this is a configuration issue or a regression with the new checkout layout.

    Hello Sir,

My name is Sharik Khan, and I’m a recent B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) graduate currently building my career in the Salesforce ecosystem, particularly Salesforce Administration.

I recently came across your profile and noticed your experience as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. I’m currently looking for entry-level opportunities in Salesforce Admin, CRM, or related roles. I’ve completed the Salesforce Admin Beginner learning path on Trailhead and have been working on hands-on Salesforce configuration, including objects, fields, relationships, data management, reports, dashboards, and list views.

As a fresher, I’m finding it challenging to identify suitable entry-level Salesforce openings, so I wanted to reach out directly. If there are any relevant opportunities at Deloitte, or if you feel my profile could be considered for a suitable role, I would genuinely appreciate a referral or an opportunity to prove myself.

I’d be happy to share my resume and Trailhead profile for your reference.

    Thank you for your time.
