I'm starting to configure SEA for a performing arts organization. I'm relatively new to Salesforce, and the organization is small. I've read through the documentation (I think) that seemed most relevant and skimmed the rest. I've set up some dummy events and event instances to get a sense of how the processes work.
I've got a handful of questions to start. If someone can point me to the relevant documentation, that'd be great. I haven't found answers yet.
Ticket Pricing
We use a pay what you wish ticket model with a suggested minimum of $5. And prices differ among event instances. Ideally, I'd like the registration page to show text explaining our pricing, a blank where people can enter a ticket price, and a blank for an optional donation. And prices differ among event instances.
I've tried a handful of things. I've set a fee of $5 per ticket for an event, but that doesn't offer any flexibility to give more or less. I've added an optional donation, but that's on a separate page. It looks as if I have to provide optional donation amounts, although there is an "other" option.
Shopping Cart/Multiple Event Regstration Page
For our residency weekends (four or five concerts) and festival (12 to 15 concerts), we want to offer people a single registration page with multiple events on it. So far, I see that SEA creates a registration page for each event instances, not the Event (series of instances). Is there a way to combine Event Instances on one registration page?
Adding an Event or Event Instance Workflow
I'm going to want to add some lookup fields for musicians who are performing (contacts) and venues (accounts) and would like to customize the workflow to hide some of the education-specific fields and show the custom fields. Can that workflow be customized? And is the process managed and subject to change when the package is updated?
Payment Integration
I found the Stripe integration recipe and the documentation page for payment integration. Is there sample code anywhere? Does integrating SEA with a payment processor require Apex programming?
