I have several nested Show/Hide buttons-- Show/Hide containers that are in another container controlled by a Show/Hide button. I'm using them to reduce the amount of visual real estate taken up by filters, color keys, etc.

When I hide the primary container and then unhide it, all secondary Show/Hide containers default to Show. Can this behavior be changed so they remain hidden or (better yet) in the state the user last left them?

Example:

(1) My primary container has a Show/Hide button (X). It contains secondary Show/Hide containers ("Filters")

Nested Show/Hide Buttons: Can They Be Set to HIDDEN?

(2) These secondary containers can be opened or closed.image

(3) Unfortunately, if the primary container is hidden, then reopened, ALL secondary containers default to "Shown." This is not the behavior I prefer-- I'd like them to remain collapsed or in the state the user left them.image

I was flagrantly inspired by the Flerlage Twins to try my hand at this (@Ken Flerlage , @kevin flerlage ).

I think they may have used separate dashboards to get around this quirk, but any feedback is appreciated!
