ie (blue, light blue, blue, light blue, etc.) I was doing so manually, but it seems like not all entries in my color field appear in the "edit colors" pop out. If there's an automatic way to do this - that would be great, but Im happy to do it manually. I just need to be able to change the color for ALL color fields.

Are you able to include an anonymized TWBX?
And by "route" are you meaning each new segment of a path, or each "spoke"?
If you want to alternate segment colors, this might work:
I imagine each path has an ID. Create a calculation to find the INDEX of each [ID].
Find the modulus of this INDEX, returning a 0 or 1:
INDEX()%2
Create a string dimension for your ID.*
If you want everything in blues, just create a calculation called "blue".
Drop this on color.
Drop your modulus index string on DETAIL
Right click to the side and change the modulus index to a secondary color.
Adjust your colors as you see fit.
