I'm on Tableau Desktop 2018.2.0 on Windows 10.
I have a workbook that I'm unable to open. I receive this error:
I had this workbook open earlier today without issue, and am still able to open other workbooks.
Data sources are all published on Tableau Online, no local connections. The only thing I can think of that could have changed was that the extracts were refreshed by Tableau Bridge on a separate system. I don't believe anything about the structure of the tables or fields changed.

It was a local workbook that would not open. The published version on Tableau Online was fine, but an older revision.
I never found a solution, so I ended up restoring backup.
