I have a large dataset with a series of filters applied...the plot shows that data that meets the filter criteria but I would also like to show the data that doesn't...eventually I would like to condense the data into positive and negative fields based on the filters applied...anybody have any good ideas

Dynamically... Not sure what you mean there.
You can create the parameter so that the user can type a value, or so that he can have a slider to set the value.
Each of the MIN and MAX params will work independently of each other. You can't create one parameter and have a MIN and a MAX slider on it. You will have to drive this with two separate parameters. (And two more for the number of particles.)
