Was looking to display a tableau dashboard on Samsung 65 inch TV. Can we know the best option to display dashboards on Smart TV's:
Option 1:
I tried connecting my laptop to TV(Android) through HDMI port and adjusted screen resolution in my laptop to view & interact b/w dashboards. All working well if the view fits exactly to the screen. If the view has a vertical scroll bar(i.e. if height is more than the resolution) , we also getting horizontal scroll bar at bottom. I tried decreasing the width size but no luck. Is there something that if we have a vertical scroll bar, we also get horizontal scroll bar? . Need your help fixing this.
Option2:
I know we don't have tableau application for smart TV. Can we launch the URL directly in TV Normal browser window to view & interact b/w dashboards? i tried but it didn't work. I couldn't see Google Chrome browser in my android TV.
Both options should work, it sounds like you just need to adjust the dashboard size accordingly. There is no app for SmartTV and you should check the licensing whether you are allowed to do this or not - a few years ago you would have been breaking the EULA, but I don't know these days.
