I have moved to a analyst position and tasked with creating a dashboard. I've come to see that the data that I'm dealing with has no dates. What should my first step in cleaning the data be? Again..no dates....but maybe something like "current state" with a check mark if the item is still in current state and "future state" is checked if the item has attained future state status.

Hello Sallye,
First, i'd recommend pivoting your regions. Like the image below. Then you can create a visual like the second image below. Everything will be easier once your values are pivoted.
