Hi everyone

I am quite stuck with respect to a measure that I have created as a calculated field. The worksheet (1) has a parameter (created to function as a global filter since I have multiple data sources) set according to Location dimension. Now I want the users to have an “All” option too in this parameter so that when they select this option, it returns the calculated measure (% of total) for all locations.

If you see this measure that’s a calculated field (% of total), I have written a fixed LOD calculation for both numerator & denominator calculations which returns the numbers as per the location selected individually. It’s working well but NOT for “All” selection. I was trying to add a IF-ELSE statement but it's messing something when it comes to the denominator (LOD (copy)).

But it’s not working out fine for me. To summarize I want two scenarios: First, the calculated field should return the numbers for all locations when user selects “All” option and Second, it should return location specific numbers only when user selects any One location. I believe it’s all about using LODs with if-else or Case statement but any other workaround would also be very helpful.

Anticipating your recommendations!!

Thanks

Kanu

    Hi,

I can't open the workbook you attached, it is trying to connect to Tableau Online. Also, could you change your location filter calc logic to this,

Please re-attach the packaged workbook for us to troubleshoot.
