Hi everyone,

I'm having a strange issue happening to a few users. We're currently working on implementing Salesforce and have some users testing functionality in the Full Sandbox. Users are not part of the privileged group that requires passkeys but we want them to have and use them since the requirement is coming anyways.

A lot of users set up MFA with Duo and added the Chrome browser Passkey for the phishing resistant requirement. They seem to not be having an issue until today for some of them. I have tried having them delete their passkey and create a new one, which now only prompts for phone or a physical security key, not letting them use Chrome's built in one. Further, when trying to go through with the QR code and using their phone, they receive a prompt to try again and it recurses like this.

So far it's 2 users, who don't have privileged access permissions. They were using Chrome passkey for a while but that stopped working today. I have verified that they don't have Lighting Login enabled as one help article showed. Their Google Password settings have all relevant passkey options enabled. I myself as System Admin use Chrome Passkey and it has been working fine for me.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks @Ajaypreet Singh Saini, I have done this with them and when they use their phone to scan the QR code, they get an (unhelpful) error just saying, "Something went wrong, please contact your administrator," not allowing them to register their phone as a security key. Nobody has a usb security key as of right now.
