Do I need to install an extension or an AppExchange application to integrate tableau with developer edition salesforce org? Also, what are other pre-requisites?
Hi, in this case:
a. You would need to enable embedding tableau, and select which attribute will be used to sign the user in Tableau Cloud. Generally I chose the Salesforce email, which should match the user in Tableau Cloud
b. Configure a connected app with Oauth 2.0 trust:
In the dialog, assign a name, for the issuer URL use the Issuer URL you get from step a., and for
JWKS URI usethe URL you get from the JWKS URI you get from step a. Check the enable connected app, and click on Create
c. Then, you will need to collect the URL of the Tableau Cloud Dashboard and the Site ID. So, go to Tableau Cloud, open the report, and copy the URL of the dashboard, and the Site ID:
d. In Salesforce, you can edit a page, when editing the page, you will find in the left panel the tableau component:
e. Configure the Tableau View Component using the URL and site ID you obtained in step d. Check also the enable Sign On check box.
