While consuming SOAP webservices as shown in tutorial.
I don't see any error though I don't keep DOM-to-XML component.

I guess, this is already discussed here and I can also find a solution:-

Check what runtime you are using ... if it is Mule 3.7.X EE , it is not required as mentioned in the above link
