Sharing Rule is removing the space

Hi, I was creating a project sharing rule and for some reason the space kept getting removed which was causing the sharing rule not to work. I originally had equals "Development, Inc" and the space gets removed and it saves as "Development,Inc" 

Is there a reason why it removes the spaces? I had to change the sharing rule to contains "Development" and was able to get it to work but just wanted to find out why the space kept getting removed.

    Hello, this message is for those who will be looking for a solution to the same problem.

     

    In the sharing rule, when you write multi-part text in the "criteria" section, it must be in quotes. That way the rule should work as intended.

     

    In Your case, the criteria should read as follows: Name equals "Development, Inc". We are used to writing text in a field as it is, but when quotation marks are also used, all characters (including spaces and commas) are considered text.
