A client has Lightning Sync enabled to sync their Google and Salesforce calendars. Everything has been syncing until recently. When I enter a user's email address that previously worked to test the connection, I get the error in the image below. They only have Google Calendar enabled, not Contacts. Lightning Sync & Google Calendar stopped syncingWhen I check a user's sync status, the same user that used to have a green check mark for "user recognized by Google service account," now has a red X. I haven't reset the sync at this point, since the connection test earlier failed.

I have run a Lightning Sync Error report based on this SF help article: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.exchange_sync_admin_error_report.htm&type=5. The report shows the same error type for almost all rows in the report: Can't connect to email server for the title and Error: Verify the login credentials for the user ID... as seen below.  Screenshot 2023-06-15 123400.pngAs far as I know, nothing has changed in their G Suite account. But could it have something to do with the G Suite Private Key?  The client is convinced the issues arose due to the Summer '23 SF release but the report shows the errors started prior to this. I'm not sure what else to check to troubleshoot this and get users' events syncing again between Google and Salesforce. Any tips would be most appreciated!

This is indeed a bug with Summer '23 and SF Support recommended adding the contacts auth scopes even if you're not syncing contacts. Doing this fixed the issue in our org.
