I need to set default record types for a profile using the new "Salesforce Integration" license type. Whether I try to modify the "Salesforce API Only System Integrations" profile directly, or create a new custom profile that is cloned from this one, I am unable to set default record types for standard objects -- Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, etc. aren't even available to select in the list of objects. I CAN set default record types for custom objects. Default record types are one of the items that must be set at the profile level.
Is this a bug or working as intended?
Looks like for profiles with the "Salesforce Integration" license, you have to disable the "Enhanced Profile User Interface" setting in order to set default record types for standard objects using the old interface.
You can set standard object default record types for other profiles (like Standard User and System Administrator) using the Enhanced Profile User Interface, how unexpected to find this new feature is an exception! At least there's a workaround!
