Partner User Role in hierarchy doesn't display an option to change/edit the "This role reports to" option

Hi,

I have a role that doesn't display in the normal role Hierarchy. I believe this is b/c it's a user partner role. Typically if I go to a role in the role hierarchy and click on edit I get an edit box with the option to change who "This role reports to" but I don't get the same option here. I included two screenshots. I need to change "This role reports to" from "SMF Staff" to something else. Any help is appreciated!
